A Whole-Person Health Approach in Adelaide

Marg Brassington Purposeful Life Gawler Adelaide Barossa

Your symptoms aren’t separate. They’re connected.

Chronic pain. Fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix. Anxiety with no clear cause. Brain fog that won’t lift.

You’ve probably been told these are separate problems.

Often, they’re different expressions of the same underlying pattern.

Rather than chasing one symptom at a time, I look at what’s connecting them, helping us understand where to begin and what your body may be trying to communicate.

Sessions at Williamstown, the Barossa Valley and Abergeldie House, Glen Osmond.

My Approach to

Whole-Person Health

Whole-person health isn’t about treating more symptoms.

It’s about understanding how the different systems of your body work together.

Most people don’t come to Purposeful Life with just one concern. They come with chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, poor sleep, digestive issues, inflammation, weight changes, or simply a feeling that something isn’t right.

Looking at one symptom in isolation doesn’t always explain why it keeps returning, or why another symptom appears somewhere else.

Instead of asking, “Which symptom should we treat?” I ask, “What’s connecting these symptoms?”

Together, we explore how your nervous system, cellular health, metabolic health, gut health and mindset and emotional wellbeing may be influencing one another.

The five pillars below explain the different areas I explore and how they work together to support your overall health and wellbeing.

The Five Pillars of Whole-Person Health

Nervous System Regulation
Spinal Flow Technique

Your nervous system influences how your body responds to stress, movement, sleep, digestion and recovery.

When physical, chemical or emotional stress builds over time, the body can remain tense, guarded or constantly on alert.

Spinal Flow Technique uses gentle touch to support nervous-system regulation and your body’s natural ability to settle and recover.

Cellular Health
PEMF & Terahertz Frequency Healing

Every cell in your body relies on energy, circulation and communication to function effectively.

PEMF and Terahertz Frequency Therapy are gentle, non-invasive wellness approaches designed to support cellular energy, healthy circulation, relaxation and recovery.

Supporting cellular health may be particularly helpful when your body feels depleted, stiff, run down or slow to recover.

Metabolic Health
Insulin Resistance & Metabolic Health

Metabolic health influences how your body produces and uses energy. It is closely connected with hormones, inflammation, sleep, cravings and weight regulation.

Changes in metabolic health can develop gradually and may contribute to symptoms such as energy crashes, brain fog, persistent cravings, poor sleep or feeling unlike yourself.

Exploring this pillar can provide valuable insight into what may be affecting your energy and overall wellbeing.

Gut Health
Gut Microbiome & Digestive Health

Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms that form your gut microbiome and interact with digestion, immune function, inflammation and metabolism.

Food, stress, sleep, lifestyle, illness and antibiotics can all influence the balance and variety of microorganisms living within your gut.

Exploring gut health adds another piece to understanding what may be happening within your body as a whole.

Mindset & Emotional Wellbeing
NLP • Time Line Therapy® • Hypnotherapy • Breathwork

Your thoughts, beliefs, emotions and past experiences can influence how you respond to stress and the patterns you continue to repeat.

Through coaching and complementary approaches, I help people understand and shift unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional resilience and create meaningful change.

This pillar supports the connection between how you think, how you feel and how your body responds.

Where We Begin

The same symptom can be influenced by more than one area of health.

The examples below are common patterns I see in my clinics. They are not a diagnosis or treatment plan, but a guide to help you recognise what may be relevant and explore where support could begin.

You may recognise yourself in more than one row because these areas often overlap. I look at your full story, consider all four pillars and help identify the most appropriate place to begin.

If you’re experiencing… Let’s understand…
A good place to begin…
Chronic pain, stiffness or recurring injuries Why your body may be holding onto pain Spinal Flow Technique or PEMF & Terahertz Frequency Therapy
Brain fog, poor concentration or low energy What may be affecting your energy and mental clarity Metabolic Health or Spinal Flow Technique
Afternoon energy crashes, cravings or waking between 2–4 am How your body is producing and using energy Metabolic Health
Poor sleep or waking feeling unrefreshed What may be preventing deep, restorative sleep Metabolic Health, Breathwork or Spinal Flow Technique
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed or constantly “on edge” How your body and mind are responding to stress Spinal Flow Technique, or Breathwork or NLP Coaching
Fatigue that rest doesn’t improve Why your body may not be recovering as well as it could PEMF & Terahertz Frequency Therapy, or Metabolic Health or Spinal Flow Technique
Weight gain, cravings or blood sugar concerns Whether your metabolism could be contributing to the picture Metabolic Health
Feeling mentally stuck or repeating the same patterns The beliefs, habits or experiences that may be keeping you stuck NLP Coaching, Time Line Therapy® or Hypnotherapy
Wanting time to deeply relax and recharge What your body and mind need to slow down and recover Access Bars®, or Crystal Light Bed Therapy or Access Energetic Facelift®

Bringing It Together

Your nervous system, cellular health, metabolic health, gut health, and mindset / emotional wellbeing can all influence one another.

That is why I consider all five pillars when looking at the wider picture. We focus first on the area that appears to need the most support, then build from there according to how you respond.

All five pillars matter, but they do not have to be addressed all at once.
