Spinal Flow Technique

Marg Brassington Purposeful Life Gawler Adelaide Barossa

Your body has been adapting for years.

Pain. Tension. Headaches. Fatigue. Poor sleep.

These symptoms aren’t always separate or random. Sometimes they’re signs that your nervous system has been carrying more stress than it can comfortably process.

Spinal Flow Technique works with your nervous system directly, giving your body the chance to release what it’s been holding. Some people notice a shift straight away, others feel the change build gradually over following sessions. Either way, it’s your own system doing the work.

No cracking. No force. No manipulation. Just a gentle approach that works with your body, not against it.

Adelaide Spinal Flow sessions are available in Williamstown, Barossa Valley and Abergeldie House, Glen Osmond.

Spinal Flow Technique

Welcome to Spinal Flow Technique

Spinal Flow Technique is a gentle, non-invasive approach developed by Dr Carli Axford.

Rather than forcing change through manipulation or adjustment, Spinal Flow works with your nervous system using light touch on specific access points along the spine.

You remain fully clothed throughout your session.

Many people arrive hoping for relief from physical symptoms. What often surprises them is how much calmer they feel afterwards.

As the nervous system begins to settle, many people notice changes not only in pain and tension, but also in sleep, breathing, emotional wellbeing and their overall sense of ease.

Every person’s experience is different because every nervous system has its own story.

Why your nervous system matters

Your nervous system is your body’s communication network. It connects your brain with every muscle, organ and cell in your body.

It influences how you:

  • breathe
  • sleep
  • digest
  • move
  • heal
  • respond to stress
  • regulate your emotions

When your nervous system feels safe, your body can focus on repair, recovery and healing. When it remains in a prolonged stress response, those normal healing processes may become more difficult, and symptoms can begin to appear.

How stress affects the body

Stress isn’t only emotional. Your body also responds to physical and chemical stress. Over time these experiences can influence how your nervous system functions.

Emotional stress
Grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, work pressures and significant life events.

Physical stress
Accidents, injuries, repetitive movements, poor posture and the way you breathe.

Chemical stress
Food, medications, alcohol, smoking, environmental toxins and exposure to everyday chemicals.

Sometimes the body adapts so well that we stop noticing how much stress it has been carrying until symptoms begin to appear.

How Spinal Flow Technique Works

Spinal Flow uses gentle touch on specific access points along the spine. These points communicate with different regions of your nervous system.

The aim is to help your nervous system recognise stored stress, shift away from a constant stress response and return towards a calmer, more regulated state.

Your body does the work. Spinal Flow simply provides the right conditions for that process to begin.

Who is Spinal Flow suitable for?

Spinal Flow is gentle and non-invasive, and is generally suitable for people across all ages and stages of life, including:

  • Babies and children
  • Teenagers
  • Adults
  • Pregnant women
  • Seniors
  • People living with disability
  • People experiencing chronic health conditions
  • Animals

If you have a specific health condition and aren’t sure whether Spinal Flow is right for you, it’s worth asking before your first session.

Is Spinal Flow right for you?

You may benefit from Spinal Flow if you experience:

  • Ongoing stress or anxiety / depression
  • Chronic pain or persistent tension
  • Poor sleep
  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Neck, shoulder, back, hip or knee pain
  • Digestive discomfort
  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed
  • Difficulty relaxing
  • Feeling disconnected from your body

Supporting your body’s healing

Some clients choose to combine their Spinal Flow session with PEMF and Terahertz Frequency Therapy beforehand. Preparing the nervous system in this way may help the body settle more easily into the session and support relaxation before treatment begins.

Spinal Flow also supports people managing metabolic conditions such as insulin resistance, where a dysregulated nervous system plays a significant role in how the body responds to blood sugar and stress hormones.
